Thai New Year Greetings and Cultural Ceremony Held at Walailak University’s Center for Educational Services
On April 8, 2025, Dr. Kanokwan Meesook, Acting Associate Dean, paid a traditional Thai New Year (Songkran) visit to Asst. Prof. Dr. Neeranat Kaewprasert Rakangthong, Acting Dean of the School of Accountancy and Finance. The activity, organized by the Center for Educational Services, was held to mark Songkran, which is celebrated as the traditional Thai New Year.
The event began with a water-pouring ceremony onto a Buddha image enshrined at the Center, symbolizing peace, calm, and a fresh start for the new year. Following this, a Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony was held to show respect and gratitude to senior administrators. Dr. Kanokwan Meesuk, representing the School of Accountancy and Finance, together with staff members from the Center for Educational Services, participated in this meaningful tradition.
Senior administrators honored during the ceremony included Asst. Prof. Dr. Neeranat Kaewprasert Rakangthong, who also serves as Acting Dean of the School of Political Science and Public Administration and Director of the Center for Educational Services, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kannattha Chaisriya, Deputy Director of the Center. The ceremony was held in a warm and joyful atmosphere, filled with smiles, kindness, and mutual respect among all participants.
