Executives from Walailak University Visit POLUS International College to Strengthen International Education Collaboration

Walailak University, led by President Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, visited POLUS International College to exchange best practices in international and vocational education management. The visit aimed to establish long-term collaboration between Thai and Chinese institutions, focusing on innovative curriculum development, staff and student exchange, and global talent cultivation.

Walailak University, led by Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President, Associate Professor Dr. Warit Jawjit Vice President, and Assistant Professor Dr. Neeranat Kaewprasert Rakangthong, Director of the Center for Educational Services, together with representatives from the university’s school network, visited POLUS International College to study and strengthen academic and professional collaborations.

The primary objective of this visit was to exchange ideas and best practices in the development of vocational and international programs, particularly in understanding the management approach that enables POLUS to achieve its status as a national AAA-level college and a modern training hub.

The Walailak University delegation showed great interest in POLUS’s strengths as a world-class training base, visiting several key areas including:

  • College of Medicine and Health Sciences, to explore the management of nursing and health technology programs aligned with international standards.

  • College of Arts and Design, to observe studios and laboratories in image design, furniture design, and interior architecture.

  • Specialized Skills Training Center, designated as a training venue for the World University Games, to learn about the integration of sports and modern management.

This historic study visit marks a significant starting point for strengthening future collaborations between Thai and Chinese institutions, such as student and staff exchange programs, joint development of international curricula, and research initiatives focusing on innovation, aiming to produce highly qualified graduates with a global vision.
