Personal Data Protection Act 2022 of Walailak University

Walailak University recognizes the importance of the Personal Data Protection Act ,(2022), commonly known as the PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act), which came into full effect on June 1, 2022. This law provides protection for personal data, such as names, residential or workplace addresses, postal codes, phone numbers, email addresses, identification numbers, as well as sensitive information like race, religion, sexual behavior, and health data. This information can be used to identify the owner and may exist in various forms, including documents, paper records, books, or stored electronically.

Students and staff of Walailak University must therefore be aware of this law to avoid any unintentional actions that could lead to repercussions due to a lack of knowledge about this Act. Further details are provided in the attached document.
